A Strong Foundation
The NWTF Foundation operates with the guidance of a volunteer-led board of directors and executive staff from NWTF, both having decades of experience in wildlife conservation. Together, they support the NWTF’s conservation organization and help fund the NWTF mission-related efforts.

J.J. Grow
Vice Chairman
JJ Grow is a job-creating businessman, entrepreneur and Conservative Republican with the work ethic and passion for our community to make an immediate impact as State Representative
JJ learned the value of hard work and community involvement early in life.
After attending Inverness Primary School and Inverness Middle School, JJ went to Citrus High School. While playing multiple sports, JJ served as Class President and Student Government President and spent his summers working for a local contractor.
Passionate about Florida’s agriculture from a young age, JJ took pride in serving as the Citrus High Future Farmers of America (FFA) President. After his high school graduation, JJ served as the State FFA Vice President, hosting leadership training sessions at FFA chapters across the state, while also interning with then Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Doyle Connor.
His passion for agriculture led JJ to attend the College of Agriculture at the University of Florida. There, he majored in Food and Resource Economics and earned membership in the agriculture honors fraternity.
After working as a manager for several large ag businesses, JJ founded his first company in 2003 with his wife Jennifer, creating jobs and opportunities in Florida and ultimately across the United States. His career has led to additional company formations, job creations, and economic development opportunities in our state and our country. In total, JJ has 30 years of leadership in privately-held and publicly-traded companies – leadership he knows can help our community and our state in the legislature.
A University of Florida Foundation Board Member and member of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences' Food and Resource Economics Leadership Council, JJ was awarded the Distinguished Alumnus honor in 2018.
The husband of Jen and the father of Hailegh, Hannah, Hillary, and Hadley. The grandfather to Cason, CJ and Lily – JJ is proud of his Christian faith and his pro-life beliefs.
JJ and Jen are longtime supporters of Citrus County Blessings, Community Food Bank, Citrus County Education Foundation, Jessie’s Place, YMCA, CASA, United Way, FFA, and 4H.
An avid outdoorsman and pro-Second Amendment conservative, JJ serves as Vice-Chairman of the National Wild Turkey Federation Foundation Board.
Jason Hart
Treasurer
Jason Hart from Summerton, SC has spent his entire professional career in the hunting, fishing, conservation and shooting sports industries. After graduating Clemson University with an emphasis on wildlife biology and marketing, Jason has worked in sales, marketing, public relations and product roles for Avery Outdoors, the Quality Deer Management Association, Under Armour, Mossy Oak, Sierra and Barnes Ammunition and was the co-founder of the outdoor apparel brands Huk Performance Fishing and NOMAD. Jason currently serves as the Director of Community Marketing for Mossy Oak. In addition to being on the NWTF Foundation Board currently serving as Treasurer, Jason also volunteers as a board member for the South Carolina Wildlife Partnership, a board member for the Low Country Game Bird Foundation and a board member for the Austin Hunter Chamberlain Memorial Foundation. Jason is a passionate hunter of various species, particularly the wild turkey, having successfully harvested one in every state where they are found in the United States, in addition to multiple states and provinces in Canada and Mexico.

Alex Chalmers
South CarolinaAlex Chalmers is the founder and managing partner of Material Capital Partners, a Charleston, SC based real estate development and investment management firm focused on build-for-rent communities in high growth markets across the Southeast and Midwest U.S.
Previously he was a co-founder of Avenida Capital, a New York real estate investment and development platform that managed over $250 million from US and international institutional investors. Avenida Capital developed 25 projects focused on emerging markets spanning 3,000 multi-family units, 2 million square feet of retail and over 400,000 square feet of commercial space. Avenida was acquired by global asset manager Ashmore Group in 2017 (LSE: ASHM). Prior to Avenida, he was a Principal in the Private Funds Group at Jefferies across the real estate, private credit and technology sectors and held Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Alex holds a Professional Certificate from MIT in Real Estate Development, an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA from the University of Southern California. He is a member of the NRHC CEO Council, an Urban Land Institute Build-for-Rent Product Council Member and ULI Carolinas Council Member, a member of YPO Charleston and sits on several non-profit boards.

Having grown up in a military family, Mr. Johnson has lived in many States in the USA from Massachusetts to Texas to Alaska to Arizona and other States in between. He started hunting and fishing at a young age with his father who was an active outdoorsman. Working in the field of agriculture allowed Mr. Johnson to continue to experience the outdoor world. After moving up from positions in the technical field to sales and marketing, Mr. Johnson served in various C-Suite positions in a number of global corporations. His focus has been primarily in the area of M&A and strategic growth. Currently, Mr. Johnson runs a consulting business from Southern California assisting mostly start-up companies when he’s not out chasing wild-game throughout the world.
Steve Jordan
South CarolinaWith over 50 years of dedicated service at Bonitz Companies, where I currently serve as Executive Vice President, my professional journey has been deeply rooted in leadership and community engagement. My career began early as a Page in the South Carolina General Assembly while attending the University of South Carolina, an experience that laid the foundation for my lifelong commitment to civic and professional service.
I have the privilege of serving on several prestigious boards, including the Foundation Board, the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) National Board, the South Carolina Wildlife Partnership Board of Directors, and the Governor's Agriculture School John De La Howe Foundation Board. In addition to my corporate responsibilities, I am proud to contribute as Vice President of Timmerman School in Columbia, SC.
As a longstanding member of the NWTF since 1974—joining through Tom Rodgers—I have been an active advocate for wildlife conservation and the preservation of our natural heritage. My wife and I are also timber and hay farmers in Edgefield, SC, where we are committed to sustainable agricultural practices and land stewardship.
